Indigo

The Mediterranean-inspired newbuild in a coastal community featured standard finishes, which the homeowners sought to customize and elevate to create a truly unique and superior living environment. Indigo features new custom finishes and furnishings to accomplish a thorough transformation of both the interior and exterior spaces.
The goal was to create a residence that reflected my clients' individuality and provided them with a truly bespoke living experience. Throughout the project, attention was given to every detail, we carefully selected materials, colors, and textures to capture the essence of Mediterranean inspiration while adding the Southern California coastal living aesthetic appeal. 
The furnishings were carefully curated to blend seamlessly with the architectural elements and reflect the clients' refined taste.

Oakcliff Drive

This remodel project transformed a Cape Cod style home into a coastal haven. The renovation began with the downstairs, where a new kitchen layout, flooring, and wall coverings were introduced. Light colors, brass, and nickel finish hardware were used to create a refined yet relaxed coastal atmosphere. Light white oak hardwood floors, textured wallcoverings, and soft light grey paint expanded the space, giving it a cool and fresh feel. The second phase focused on the Primary suite, featuring wall paneling, custom-designed bed and bedding, and coastal-inspired furniture. The bathroom boasts white marble mosaic flooring, a deep grey vanity, honed quartzite countertops, luster handmade tiles, and timeless fixtures. Both renovated areas beautifully capture the essence of southern California coastal living.

Lasuen

The Coastal Contemporary residential project near Lasuen Beach in Southern California presents a harmonious blend of sophisticated design and effortless living. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Pacific Ocean, this custom-designed residence caters to the needs and desires of retired clients seeking a seamless fusion of style and practicality. The goal was to create a stylish yet low-maintenance home in tune with the beach surroundings. High-performance materials, like durable upholstery, rugs, lacquer and plaster finish furniture and finishes, were used to ensure longevity without sacrificing aesthetics. The design focused on comfort and a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor spaces, reflecting the calming colors of the ocean. The result is an elegant, comfortable, and practical living space that beautifully complements the coastal environment.

Walnut Village

Transitional residential design project in Irvine CA, that involves a complete remodel of the downstairs area, focusing on a full kitchen renovation and furnishing all adjacent spaces. The kitchen features new painted custom cabinets, brass fixtures and hardware, handmade tile backsplash, engineered quartz countertops, and integrated appliances. The classically patterned decorative tile flooring grounded the kitchen area and provided an intentional transition from the original hardwood flooring. The new tile flooring also set the color palette for the project. New furniture and furnishings updated the spaces with a fresh, fun and casual feel, creating an inviting and low maintenance environment. 

Seminole Place

Complete kitchen remodel, from a galley colonial style to an open plan lush farmhouse inspired kitchen. This kitchen features lots of textures, rich olive greens, classic patterns, warm tones, and some traditional elements. Another great feature is the custom Italian ILVE range which captured the nostalgic vibe. The hood, tiled in a darker shade of olive green with copper detailing, complements the range beautifully and acts as one of the focal points in the kitchen.

Calle Del Cerrito

The complete renovation of a 1980s Spanish Colonial home in San Clemente, CA, involved transforming various areas including the kitchen, bar, powder room, bathrooms, and laundry room. The project focused on revitalizing the original Spanish aesthetics of the home while incorporating modern practicality. The result is a vibrant transitional design that showcases textured finishes and an open floor plan. The homeowners' desire for a practical yet updated interpretation of Spanish style is reflected in the renovation, creating a balanced blend of traditional charm and contemporary functionality.

In this project, we have created spaces that are rich in texture and tone, evoking a sense of sophisticated drama. The kitchen features dark, luxurious cabinetry complemented by brass/black accents and warm lighting, making it both functional and visually striking. The family room area carries on the overall industrial aesthetics adding depth and dimension with a geometric accent wallpaper and plush furnishings, offering a cozy yet stylish retreat. Each element, from the custom cabinets to the thoughtfully selected finishes, is designed to craft a cohesive, moody ambiance that feels both inviting and elegant. 

Seacliff

The Seacliff project in Huntington Beach, CA, involved the renovation of a vacation residence to create a warm, inviting, and sophisticated coastal retreat. Key features included an open floor plan integration of the kitchen with the dining and family rooms, a focal point kitchen with contemporary appliances and eye-catching backsplash, modern furnishings, an unconventional workspace area, and special attention to lighting. The result is a captivating and visually stunning environment suitable for both relaxation and entertainment.

Harvey Court Master Bathroom

This remodel presents an open concept floor plan that incorporates a curbless shower, a floating double sinks vanity, and a freestanding tub. The design prioritizes a transitional style, employing a gentle color and material palette. The clients' vision for a Zen-inspired ambiance with subtle modern touches guided the project. Noteworthy are the generously sized niches adorned with hand-made tiles, reflecting the clients' appreciation for the Alhambra Spanish motifs. The outcome is a well-balanced blend of contemporary aesthetics and serene influences, resulting in a tranquil and visually captivating space.

Harvey Court Main Bathroom

Laguna Heights

This project is driven by contemporary design, drawing inspiration from various elements to transform a coastal home. It includes a white kitchen, an elegant entry-nook cabinet, a visually striking powder room, and a lavish open-plan primary bathroom. The spaces are characterized by abundant natural light, infusing them with brightness and vitality. The design features soft white walls, quartz countertops resembling marble, and sleek, polished hardware. This combination creates an atmosphere that is simultaneously modern, innovative, and enduring, embodying a fresh and timeless ambiance throughout the home.

Niguel Hills Kitchen

This coastal-inspired kitchen remodel showcases an open plan design with elements of Scandinavian influence. The design emphasizes a clean and airy ambiance, achieved through the use of crisp white walls, white countertops, and cabinets. These elements serve as a backdrop that accentuates the inviting qualities of the Italian marble mosaic and tile backsplash, as well as the linear woodgrain island and open shelves, all of which exude warmth. The inclusion of brass fixtures adds a touch of elegance to the overall aesthetic. The result is a harmonious blend of coastal charm and Scandinavian simplicity in a welcoming kitchen space.

Ridgebury Drive

The essence of this Coastal Contemporary project in Huntington Beach, CA, is best captured by its organic design elements. In the existing kitchen, which boasted stunning Walnut cabinets and hardwood flooring, the focus was on enhancing the space by updating the island's scale, materials, countertops, and fixtures. This simple transformation elevated the area. Meanwhile, the bathrooms underwent a complete rejuvenation, adopting a fresh look through the use of clean-line tiles and inviting textured flooring. The project features natural influences with modern aesthetics, resulting in a seamless fusion of coastal charm and contemporary elegance.
